Paterna City Council has released the name of the 18 finalists for the next edition of the II Paterna City of Business Awards, an association chaired by the Mayor Juan Antonio Sagredo.

Paterna City Council will aim for the aid for the modernization and improvement of the industrial estates announced yesterday by the Regional Area of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor.

• Paterna is ready to transfer the improvements of its 5 industrial parks to the Area of Economy.
• Hydrants, accessibility and mobility will be the destination of these regional aids

The City Council of Paterna and the L’Andana Business Association have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of strengthening the joint commitment to promote and improve the companies located in the industrial area.

Paterna City Council is preparing an industrial Geographic Information System that will improve the management of its 5 business areas and regulate in an “intelligent” way the more than 1,600 companies installed in the city.

This was announced today by the Mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo during the meeting held with the media and in which he was accompanied by the Coordinator of Economic Promotion, José Mª Martínez. 

The Paterna City Council has just started the study to reclaim the Mediterranean Corridor and the railway connection with Fuente del Jarro. «During this month we are starting the tender of the study of the Corridor and its need for the 1,600 companies of Paterna. "Make Paterna a regional and state epicenter of innovation". Under this premise, underlined yesterday by the mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo, the Paterna Local Pact for Innovation was formalized yesterday, a joint initiative of the main local agents of R + D + i with which the Consistory intends to make innovation, the engine of economic and social development of Paterna.

The Science Park of the University of Valencia was the scene of the official signing of this agreement, to which a total of 18 different entities and organizations have joined, like the Valencian Agency for Innovation, the University of Valencia, the Polytechnic University of Valencia or the Valencia Chamber or the Valencian Business Confederation (CEV).

The City Council of Paterna, within the framework of the Collaboration Agreement signed between the Association "Paterna City of Business" and the Asociación Sociolidarios, have organized training sessions on Corporate Social Responsibility for SMEs in the city.

Currently, the application of Corporate Social Responsibility standards has become a key element for the competitiveness and productivity of companies since the commitment of companies to social responsibility generates a more innovative corporate culture, more internationally attractive, with more resources to anticipate and adapt to the challenges of a changing and global market. In recent years, the exercise of social responsibility with the priorities of sustainability, social cohesion and the satisfaction of general interests has gradually been incorporated into the Spanish business world.

The new Industrial Geographic Information System, which will be implemented throughout 2018 and will be one of the most complete in the country, will be hosted on the website of Paterna City of Business.
