Paterna has hosted the 2020 Employment Fair organized by the Valencia Chamber together with the Valencia Provincial Council, the City Council and the collaboration of the European Social Fund, which aims to promote the employment of unemployed people and promote entrepreneurship.
The Mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo has presented, together with the president of the Valencia Chamber, José Vicente Morata, the opening ceremony of this event held at the Lluís Vives Business School, in the Paterna Technology Park and which has brought together more than 30 companies and managed more than 100 interviews.
During his speech, Sagredo highlighted that "holding this event is a success and an opportunity for companies and unemployed people, since it allows them to connect and generate opportunities for employment, training and improvement of candidacies".
In this sense, the mayor has pointed out that “Paterna is the industrial and business heart of the Valencian Community, with its six industrial areas that allow us to continue establishing ourselves as a city of business and a generator of employment, as demonstrated by the arrival of the multinational Costco in 2023 to our municipality, that will join important companies already established in teh city as Mercadona, Amazon, Aquaservice, Jeanología or Bimbo ”.
“In addition” - the first mayor continued - “the City Council is improving every year the agreements with the business areas with the highest budgetary resources, to promote growth and industrial development and, consequently, job creation”.
Durante su intervención, Sagredo ha explicado que “Paterna dispones de una Agencia de Colocación, con un gran equipo humano, que permite orientar y facilitar la búsqueda de empleo a las personas desocupadas, algo especialmente importante tras la crisis por la COVID-19”.
