The association Paterna City of Business and Intu Eurofund Valencia have signed today a collaboration agreement to boost the business activity of SMEs in Paterna and promote the training, employability and hiring of their neighbors during the implementation and development of the Mediterranean Port.

The President of the association, Juan Antonio Sagredo and the director of Intu Eurofund, Salvador Arenere have been in charge of signing the agreement with which they seek to generate the necessary synergies to revitalize the economic and business activity of the city and, therefore, create employment .

Representatives of the different associations that make up Paterna City of Business such as the Association of Entrepreneurs of Fuente del Jarro Industrial Estate (ASIVALCO), the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Tactical Business Park (ADET), the Business Association L'Andana, APYMEP, the Conservation Entity “Valencia Parc Tecnològic” and the Fundació Parc Científic Universitat de València have also been present at the signing.

To this end, both entities have set three main lines of action. On the one hand, they seek to facilitate companies their role as providers of services and goods, both in the construction phase of the Mediterranean Port and in its future maintenance and operation.

On the other hand, they will work together to promote employability through training and retraining courses in order to promote the hiring of the unemployed from Paterna in those specialties that are demanded by the future shopping center, and always in coordination with the Municipal Work Agency of the Paterna City Council.

Likewise, they will enable, under preferential conditions, the location in the Mediterranean Port of local shops, service establishments and hoteliers. For this, Intu Eurofund will maintain a 90-day preference period in favor of these companies for the contracting of premises on advantageous terms before proceeding with their open marketing.
