The association Paterna City of Business and Intu Eurofund Valencia have signed today a collaboration agreement to boost the business activity of SMEs in Paterna and promote the training, employability and hiring of their neighbors during the implementation and development of the Mediterranean Port.
The president of the association, Juan Antonio Sagredo, and the director of Intu Eurofund, Salvador Arenere, have signed the agreement, which seeks to generate synergies to revitalize the economic and business activity of the city and, therefore, create jobs. Committed to facilitating companies their role as providers of services and goods, both in the construction phase of the Mediterranean Port - in case it finally receives authorization from the Generalitat - and in its future maintenance and operation, according to a statement of the Paterna association.
In addition, they will work together to promote employability through training and retraining courses in order to promote the hiring of unemployed citizens of Paterna in specialties that are demanded by the future shopping center, always in coordination with the Municipal Work Agency of the City Council of Paternal.
Likewise, they will enable, under preferential conditions, the location in the Mediterranean Port of local shops, service establishments and hoteliers.
For this, Intu Eurofund will maintain a 90-day preference period in favor of these companies for the contracting of premises on advantageous terms before proceeding with their open marketing.
The firm has also been members of the Paterna Ciudad de Empresas associations, such as the Entrepreneurs Association of the Fuente del Jarro Industrial Estate, the Entrepreneurs Association of the Tactical Business Park, the L'Andana Business Association, the APYMEP, the Conservation Entity “Valencia Parc Tecnològic” and the Fundació Parc Científic Universitat de València.
