The Paterna City Council, through Paterna Ciudad de Empresas, has convened for the second consecutive year the Paterna City of Business awards with which the consistory seeks to continue promoting the social recognition of local business and to disclose its work, contribution and projection at regional and national level.
This was announced today by the Mayor of Paterna and President of Paterna City of Business, Juan Antonio Sagredo, who highlighted “the firm commitment of the local Executive to spread the great economic strength of the municipality and the great potential of companies located in the 5 business areas through awards with which we seek to recognize the work, the trajectory and the responsibility of the companies that have chosen and choose Paterna to settle and grow”.
As recalled by the Mayor, who also holds the competencies of Business, University and Industrial Estates, “these awards are part of the Municipal Strategy for Economic Development in which we are working to consolidate Paterna as a strategic location and economic engine and strengthen it as a business, technological and innovation epicenter at all levels ”.
Based on this objective, the Paterna City of Business Awards are structured around 5 categories: Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Business Research and Innovation Award, Socially Responsible Company Award, International Projection Award and the Women Entrepreneur Award, some distinctions that last year went to the companies Praxya, Sistemas Genómico, Comsa, Tecnidex and Eugenia García, from Farmamundi, respectively.
In this regard, the Mayor also stressed that “Paterna has everything to become the benchmark city in business, not only for the 5 business parks that our city houses, but also for the 5 technological institutes, the 6 research institutes and the more than 1,600 companies that settle on our 6 km2 of industrial land”.
Lastly, Sagredo has encouraged all the companies in Paterna to attend and apply for these awards, which help to strengthen their trajectory, projection and work and make the municipality a business benchmark.
