- The Mayor of Paterna and the manager of the UV Science Park Foundation have signed an agreement to improve and modernize the equipment and infrastructure of the Science Park, one of the 5 business areas of Paterna.
- Juan Antonio Sagredo is signing agreements with all the industrial, scientific and technological parks of Paterna to contribute to its improvement and revitalization.
The City Council of Paterna and the Fundació Parc Científic de l'Universitat de València have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly promote strategic actions aimed at defend the economic promotion of the city.
The agreement, signed by the Mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo and the director of the Foundation, Juan Antonio Raga, is the result of the good relationship between the consistory and the University of Valencia and the will and commitment of both entities to improve and modernize the equipment and infrastructure of the Science Park, which forms one of the five business areas of Paterna.
Sagredo explained that the goal of the agreement is “to make Paterna an attractive area for the operation of its companies and the attraction of others that imporve the creation of wealth, economic growth and job creation.”.
For this, the consistory provides an initial grant of 5,000 euros that will specifically serve to improve the multimedia equipment of the common use rooms for the spin offs hosted in the PCUV. It Will help to modernize, energize and incentivize this business area of Paterna where - as highlighted by the Mayor - "more than 80 companies are established".
Lastly, Sagredo, who also holds the competences of Business, University and Industrial Areas, recalled that “the agreement with the Scientific Park is part of the Municipal Strategy for Local Economic Development (EMDEL), promoted by the City Council of Paterna and by which the consistory, among other actions, is signing agreements with its five business parks to improve them and favor the arrival of new companies and the consolidation of the existing ones”.
