The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grand Theater Antonio Ferrandis
This Wednesday, December 14, the Grand Theater Antonio Ferrandis de Paterna will host the first edition of the Paterna City of Business Awards, a gala that aims to recognize the figure of entrepreneurship based in Paterna and publicize its contribution to today's society.
With more than thirty companies registered, the business association organizing the awards has released the names of the 14 finalists who will compete for the award in the five categories. The president of the business association and Mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo, wanted to thank the high participation of companies in this first edition and congratulate all the finalists, recognizing “the trajectory, projection and social work of the finalist companies, which are an example of the quality of the industrial fabric of Paterna”.
The first priza of the night' will go to the Entrepreneur of the Year. The finalists are Praxya, company which offers technological solutions implemented with a new methodology to control and grow the SME business; Aqubaby, whose project is geared towards children's development, both through its aquatic sports center specialized in children's swimming, as well as its children's schools, and finally Panel Asist, a service company based on new technologies, which offers customers solutions in the fields of masonry, electricity, plumbing and locksmithing.
In the category of Business Research and Innovation, the finalists are Sistemas Genómicos, the largest private company in the research of DNA and RNA genetic codes, whose mission is to put genetic research at the service of society; Nabelia, that through the integration of applications and healthcare systems have currently developed different tools that improve clinical practice and monitoring of the chronic patient in the fields of neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, or digestive, in the main hospitals in Spain; and the international pioneer in the electrical efficiency sector, Cysnergy which has more than 2,000 clients worldwide, including Heineken and Ford.
Regarding Socially Responsible Companies Award, the finalists are Novaterra Catering, a company dedicated to the fight against poverty and social exclusion through training and socio-labor insertion, specializing in catering services with an emphasis on social and environmental sustainability; COMSA, the second most unlisted Spanish group in the infrastructure and engineering sector that is committed to developing renewable energy by providing efficient solutions, as well as activities for the management, treatment and recovery of industrial waste and water management; and Vygon manufacturer of medical-surgical materials, leader in medical high technology.
The award for International Projection will be held between Enrique Oliver Fotógrafo, who has an extensive record and recognition both nationally and internationally; Tecnidex, a benchmark in fruit and vegetable health that has implemented its model in countries such as Greece, Turkey, Morocco, Mexico and Peru.
Finally, the finalists in the category of Women Entrepreneurs are Eugenia García, from Farmamundi, a company dedicated to the professional distribution of medicines, materials and sanitary equipment among the most vulnerable populations in impoverished countries; Rosalía Mellado, from Lasertall, which offers laser cutting services for different materials, mainly steels; and lastly, Lourdes Morales, from Hidmo, an expert company in customs management.
